Mission

There is a vast body of teachings that has been handed down and refined for millennia.  These teachings point to the fundamental truths of our existence and center around the development of compassion, mental composure, and deep wisdom. We are committed to providing an internet home for these teachings so that they can be delivered as effectively as possible into the modern world.  

Staged Vision

Immediate:

What you have in front of you is a message in a bottle.  It has crossed the digital seas and found its way into your hands.   Practically there is a section with a series of links connecting you to some of the best audio resources out there.  Additionally I’ve done some light curation that is grounded in my own process and offers a few compelling pathways to explore.  

Beyond this there is an invitation to join the team that will help chart the seas, plumb the depths, and build the instruments of navigation, and the boats and submarines that countless people will one day use.  Your feedback, suggestions, innovative ideas, financial support and creative personal curation are all methods of moving the vision forward.   

Additionally the "Snippets" page offers a great way to pepper your life with brief segments of talks that remind you of life's most important themes.  If you like these share them.  Facebook, sound cloud, twitter.  Help change what social media means by sharing better content!  

Midterm:

We will continue to make the interface more user friendly as we absorb feedback and respond to input. The input we receive will also help us to make the database of resources more comprehensive.  Additionally we will grow the team of curators so that we can offer more refined maps to people who want to continue to explore the possibilities.

Our team will grow in its technical sophistication and we will begin to create new pathways of sharing.  Our mission, and the method of pursuing it will continue to evolve as the teams grows.

Longterm:
The casual experience of the site will be as attractive, fluid, and addictive as browsing Amazon.com or scrolling through your Facebook wall.  This will be built both by intelligent algorithms that sort through user data as well as explicit curation by a broad range of groups and individuals.  The snippets that initially entice users to the site in the first place will step by step lead people into long term sustained routes of study with immense possibilities for greater depth.
