BIO

Miles has been studying meditation and related mind-body disciplines full time for the last 7 years.  This training included... 

• ~ Two years of training at various monasteries and practice centers in Asia including time in Myanmar, China, and Thailand.     

• ~ Two years of solitary retreat under the guidance of B. Alan Wallace, Ph.D. and Roshi Joan Halifax, Ph.D. on a remote property in New Mexico. 

• ~ One year of training with Soryu Forall at the Monastic Academy, an intensive residential program in northern Vermont.  

• Over 600 hours of training as part of an ongoing 1,600 hour Alexander Technique teacher training. 

• Two years of ongoing training in interpersonal-meditation with Circling Europe and others.    

Miles is currently earning a Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Applied Positive Psychology. He is writing a capstone on Monasteries of the Future with Robert Thurman advising.      

He's taught meditation, interpersonal-meditation, and yoga at a variety of venues including Middlebury College, UPenn Medicine,  Wesleyan University, the Monastic Academy, and NYU.
